Wallace & Gromit: A Vingança das Aves

This is more like a very long Wallace and Gromit short film. That's a wonderful thing to be. It's got great heroes, a memorable villain, and more whimsy than is probably recommended by medical science.

Compared with the last few Aardman features, "Vengeance Most Fowl" feels more contained, which is ultimately a good thing.

While "Vengeance Most Fowl" retains many of the quaint elements and tried-and-true methods that made Wallace and Gromit a global favorite, it's also undoubtedly a slicker, glossier project than anything that's come before.

Vengeance Most Fowl is a brisk and well-paced escapade, in which Gromit proves himself to still be one of our best screen actors and Wallace's absentminded behavior still endears.

There's an alive-ness that emanates from the characters, in large part due to all those visible fingerprints and indentations on their skins-a tactile counterbalance to a story about humanity's over-reliance on technology.

Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl is one of the year's best animated movies.

Just as warm-hearted, bouncy, goofy, and unassumingly sharp as ever.

"Vengeance Most Fowl" preserves the essence of this silly hand-molded universe, while simultaneously striving for more ambitious visual components.

"Vengeance Most Fowl" is just beautifully structured, a perfect rhythm of plotting and humor that works for all ages.

Despite the "improvements" to the animation technique, there remains a purity to Wallace & Gromit. In fact, the most endearing aspects of the series are its links to silent comedy. And dogs, naturally. And penguins.

"Vengeance Most Fowl" moves with smooth efficiency from its amusing, shadowy start to gently slapstick finish, propelled by its characters and Park's customary sweet-and-silly humor.

Funny and charming as ever, it's a welcome cinematic reprise for the British icons, even if this latest outing is slight enough to suggest that it might have been perfectly fine as a short.

It's pure pleasure, all the more so for its laboriously low-tech artistry that hasn't changed much over 35 years.

True to form, "Vengeance Most Fowl" is stuffed with hilarious film references, sly asides and frantic chases.

Director/co-writer Nick Park and his brilliant team of animators deliver the most delightful children's comedy you could ever imagine. What joy springs from this delightful movie. I'd watch it again right now! Love it to pieces.

There is nobody else doing stuff as intricately woven as this.

Clocking in at a mere 79 minutes, featuring plenty of laughs and climaxing with a rousing chase, "Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl" is an impressive feat of clay, a winning choice in a competitive animated holiday season.

'Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl' is supremely sincere, warmly witty, and laugh-out-loud funny. And really, what else did you expect?

It's funny, polished, and beautifully made... An absolute delight.

The most sheerly entertaining movie I've seen this year.
